Trauma Processing and EMDR
Trauma processing is not a sprint toward a finish line. It is an intentional, deeply personal process that honors your nervous system, emotional capacity, and readiness. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. We will move at a pace that feels right for you, with care taken to help you feel safe, supported, and grounded along the way.
Many of my clients describe trauma as an invisible wall that keeps them from fully connecting with themselves, their lives, and the people they love. Whether your pain comes from a single traumatic event or years of chronic, complex trauma, you deserve the opportunity to live with greater freedom from the weight of the past.
Trauma therapy cannot erase what happened, but it can help you relate to those experiences differently. Over time, you can begin to move forward with greater intention, choice, and a renewed sense of control over your life.
My Approach
EMDR is an evidence-based treatment recommended by the World Health Organization for adults experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder.
I integrate EMDR with relational, somatic, creative, and depth-oriented approaches to help clients process painful experiences that continue to affect their emotions, identity, relationships, and sense of safety. My training includes trauma-informed care, EMDR, and IFS-informed EMDR treatment.
Sessions may include conversation, body-based awareness, imagery, writing, bi-lateral processing, art-making, active imagination, and exploration of the parts of you that may be protecting you or slowing the healing process. Together, we work toward greater emotional regulation, deeper understanding, and meaningful integration.
Sessions are available in several lengths based on your needs, including extended sessions and EMDR intensives.
